Valeria Marangelli (born in Italy, in 1994) is an artist based in Basel,
Switzerland. She received her Bachelor of Dance from Codarts University of
the Arts in Rotterdam, graduating with honors.
Valeria has danced with MZ Atelier - Martin Zimmermann, Snorkel Rabbit of Alba Castillo & Bryan Arias, and was a soloist dancer at Luzerner Theater. Throughout her career, Valeria performed in works and original creations by renowned choreographers
such as Marcos Morau, Alba Castillo, Bryan Arias, Ella Rothschild, Tom Weinberger, Johan Inger, Cayetano Soto, Georg Reischl, Caroline Finn, Jo Strømgren, and many others.
Valeria is currently a dancer with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp, Belgium.
As an independent artist, she performed in the Château Gutsch “Dance & Bach”, an original evening-length pas de deux choreographed by Filipe Portugal. Valeria also performed at the 25th anniversary evening Gala of KKL Luzern, in a choreography by Linda Magnifico & Luca Signoretti.
As a young choreographer, Valeria’s work has been recognized,
having been selected as a finalist for the Concours Chorégraphique of
Malandain Ballet Biarritz in 2020 and as a winner of the 26th
Internationales Solo Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart in 2022.
Her solo work, QUARANTELLA, received the Copenhagen International Dance Prize and successfully toured throughout Germany.
As a teacher, Valeria offers classes at various venues across Switzerland and Europe, such as Tanzbüro Basel, TANZhAUS BERN, Kézér Ballée Budapest, Profitraining tiw (Winterthur), bewegungs-art freiburg e.V, Equilibrio Dinamico, Braswell Arts Center, and Tanzhaus Zürich.
